Important note:

1) Not all viewers can see mesh... in order to see mesh you will need a mesh enabled viewer such as Second Life viewer 3, the latest release of Phoenix, or the latest Firestorm. People who are not on mesh enabled viewers will see you wearing a box or torus.

2) Currently mesh clothes cannot be modified to fit your shape, rather you have to modify your body shape to fit the mesh. There are a number of mesh deformer viewers in development, which will enable you to deform the mesh to fit your shape, but having never tried any of these, I cannot tell you if they work well or not.
